I've got a lovely bunch of coconut soaps...

By the way, this is the second time I have taken a great picture only noticing later that particular dog in the background.

... and I'm giving a slab away (approx. 3oz) to one lucky commenter!

Just leave a comment on this week's fat quarter tutorial, and I'll enter all the names into a hat the next week (so that will be a draw on 30th May, from comments made on the post from 23rd May, OK?). I made this soap yesterday; it has a totally natural soap base, isn't artificially coloured, contains coconut and olive oil, and is not tested on animals. Unless one of the dogs rolls in something and then it will tested on them for its ability to remove smelly horse poo. By the way, this week's FQF Tute is 'holiday based', I got the idea when I was at my parents' last week. I think it's one of the most useful ones yet.

In other news ... more stuff from the Open University! I'm just trying to get my assignment finished today so that Mr Marmadaisy can proof read it for me.

And ... I have finally finished my apron for the Apron Swap. I don't want to post pics until I've packaged everything up and sent it to my swappee, but it features some rather cute buttons ...

And some pretty nifty fabric matching on the pockets ...

Oh great! You make soap, I've been itching to try soap making - all the books I read make it sound so difficult! Perhaps you could do a tutorial on soap making? Is there Magic involved?*** I have no idea how to start.
How doyou fit in all this studying!

The soap looks lovely - coconut reminds me of those oils people wore to sunbathe in the 70s before they knew they shouldn't be basting themselves, so whenever I smell coconut skin I feel as if I'm on holiday.

The OU box looks exciting :)

Never mind washing in that stuff - looks good enough to eat (my Mother always told me to wash my mouth out - but that was only usually when I was using those naughty words :P).

Looking forward to another FQF. Now I just need time to make some of them!
